This will put him in a real bind and allow you to win unless you did a really stupid mistake. A better option is to just stay at status quo and build artillery. This means a lot of microing on your part and it generally is not nice.Īgainst another Cybran the Megalith is very important to get first, but remember that you can't win with them! Megaliths will target structures first so it's not a good idea to attack his base if he has Megaliths in there. The problem with facing the UEF in the late game is that all their units have superior range. The Bomb Bouncer is also one to consider, it pretty much nullifies any minor for a very long time, allowing your other units some time for a snipe or taking it out.
Another option is the secret Gunship swarm as he will definitely not have a forward radar to scout you with. Your aim would then be a fast Jump Jet snipe of his ACU. Your best bet could be a rush for Jump Jets and then Training. Sure the Megalith is fine but the Fatboy and the AC-1000 completely demolishes it. That is pretty much all you need to defeat an Illuminate player, so congratulations if you reached this stage.Īgainst an UEF player things get much trickier. The Megaliths will outrange all his units while Mega Armor will give your Loyalists the staying power to defend your Megaliths in case he uses Teleport. Now depending on who you are facing you can decide what tech tree to go down.Īgainst and Illuminate player I would strongly suggest getting Megaliths and then getting Mega Armor. Do not forget power! Now the aim is to have 4 Factories and then build Research Stations, if he has 6 Factories, then you might need to build one more to not get overwhelmed.
You should grab 2 Mass Extractors at a time and always keep 1 more Mass Extractor than you need for supplying your factories for expansion. While you are working your ass off trying to harass him you should be expanding with Mass Extractors and Factories. This means some considerable micro for you and your enemy, but you should come out on top, making him build a Point Defense is a massive success. Move the Brackmans around the side of his base aiming to harass his tank blobs that are trying to fend off your Loyalists. Remember to Ctrl+K your own base if such a situation would occur.Īfter you have 3 groups of about 10 Loyalists, each group should be positioned left right and center, harassing his Mass Extractors, add a Brackman to two of your Factory queues. If worse comes to worse just base swap and try to rebuild somewhere else. Remember to make attacking moves towards his base if he moves his forces out. You should never have any more than 10 Loyalists in the middle, so there is no excuse for him to try to attack the middle. Trying to snipe the ACU early game is not advisable, as the whole point of this strategy is to have him concentrate on trying to defend his base rather than trying to kick your front door down.
The aim is to keep him off balance at his flanks and thus picking off the odd structure every now and then. Your Loyalists should now be at his flanks and not be engaging anything that looks like an even battle. This will allow you to see pretty much the whole map and catch any sneaky stuff that he tries to do.
